We provide a safe and familiar environment in which to relax and chat. Many friendships are forged here. We host a range of activities including crafts, exercise classes, bingo, short film screenings, guest speakers and entertainment.
Please note that we do not provide personal care or supervision.
We're one of the largest dementia support groups in Marple and the surrounding area and have supported hundreds of people with dementia and their carers over the years.
The Marple Dementia Drop-in welcomes anyone affected by dementia or worried about their memory.
We meet every Friday from 11.30am - 1.30pm at Marple Sports Club on Bowden Lane, providing guidance and help for our dementia friends and carers. People can just turn up on the day - there's no need to book.

Tea, coffee and snacks are available and we offer a selection of lunch options from 12noon. Transport is not provided, but parking is available.

The Marple Dementia Drop-in was launched in 2014 as part of a council-led initiative to help make Marple more dementia friendly.
The group was originally set up by someone with dementia as a means to provide a network of support and friendship for people living with dementia and their friends and family.
We work closely with EDUCATE - an inspiring group of people with dementia who use their personal experience to help promote better understanding of dementia in and around Stockport.
We're supported by a team of local residents and volunteers, as well as a dedicated support worker.
